The Beginning of Our Journey

This site was never something we expected to create.
But when our son Simon was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes just two days after his 16th birthday, everything changed.
We were told it was permanent. That it would be insulin for life. But something in us said — maybe not. Maybe if we act quickly, carefully, and fully commit, we can change the outcome.

And so, we began a journey.

Not one of denial or wishful thinking — but of taking real, science-based steps to give Simon a fighting chance to heal.
Here, we'll be sharing what we're doing, what we're learning, and how it's going.
We’re not experts. Just parents. Trying everything we can — and documenting it along the way.

If this works, it could mean more than just a new future for Simon. It could open a door for others, too.
